Continuing to celebrate Hilo, Sig Zane Designs and Salvage Public started with the liko and this year growing into a blossoming lehua. The name of this collection “Lū Lehua” describes a rain that scatters and distributes lehua needles. Inspired by the song “Kaualūlehuaoʻaikū” written by Imgrad Aluli, grandmother to our good friend and Salvage Public co-founder Napali Souza. Famous in song and hula, especially those of Hawaiʻi island, the lehua flower is an iconic muse that continues to inspire us.
